Help Update the Professional Learning Framework
Help Update the Professional Learning Framework
After 15 years, the Professional Learning Framework (PLF) is being revised. The PLF — The Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession and The Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession — together convey a collective vision of teacher professionalism in Ontario. To ensure its relevancy and currency, we’d like your input into the revision of this valuable resource. All feedback is confidential and will be used only to inform the PLF revision.

Professionally Speaking publishes book reviews to assist members in their professional practice. Unspoken, by Henry Cole, is the story of a farm girl in the American South, prior to the emancipation of the slaves, who is faced with a dilemma when she spots a runaway in her barn. Told in a series of detailed pencil sketches, and suitable for students aged 9 to 11, the book allows readers to see the story of the Underground Railroad with their own eyes.
